F1 – Mick Schumacher back?

In 2021, the son of legend Michael Schumacher entered Formula 1 with the American team Haas. But unfortunately, the car he has in his hands does not allow him to express his full potential. Between going off the track and poor performances, Haas did not want to extend its driver and prefers the experience of Magnussen and Hulkenberg. At the end of the 2022 season, the young German driver was unable to turn around and find another seat quickly. Without a steering wheel this year, he is helped by Toto Wolff within the Mercedes team. The boss of the German team wants at all costs to place his colt in a partner team for the next season. A few months ago, the German drove the 2021 McLaren during several tests at Portimao. For his boss, Mick fully deserves his place in F1.

Toto Wolff’s statement

“I think he deserves to be on the grid. If you don’t feel confident in a car for a long period of time, the more pressure you put on yourself, the less you perform, and I think that’s what happened at Haas. He is a fast driver. If you win in F3 and F2, it means you have great potential and he has never been able to show it. I’m happy to know we have a third pilot who I know will get the job done if one of our pilots eats a bad fish. His contribution in the simulator is huge, and it sometimes makes us make big steps forward between Friday and Saturday because he works all night.”
