Lancia will make its return to France in 2024. The manufacturer has announced that its new range will be offered by 20 distributors.
Lancia is not dead. The label still survives in Italy, where it continues to sell the latest Ypsilon, which appeared in 2011. But it is preparing to conquer Europe again. The brand will, however, start small. Outside of Italy, six countries will see the return of Lancia, including France. The brand highlights “the attraction of the French for Italian design and products”.
The manufacturer has just announced that the vehicles will be offered by 20 new distributors in France. Lancia will thus focus on large cities. The brand explains the showrooms will recreate “a home-like atmosphere thanks to materials, colors and attention to detail inspired by Italian architecture and design”.
If Lancia limits the number of physical points of sale, it is because it will rely heavily on digital sales. The purchase on the website must even represent one in two sales. Fortunately, for maintenance, the network will be larger, which will avoid traveling too many kilometers for those who are far from a showroom! 80 after-sales service points will be added to the 20 dealerships.
Lancia’s return will materialize in the second half of 2024 with the launch of the new Ypsilon, which will be offered in 100% electric form (in addition to mild hybridization). Then in 2026 there will be the Gamma, probably a large electric crossover, then in 2028 a new Delta, which will also be only electric. The brand’s new look was announced in the spring by the Pu+Ra HPE concept.
