Zapping Sports Auto Moto F1 Season Calendar 2023
According to Chris Medland, F1 journalist, the seats at AlphaTauri may change next year. After three years with the Faenza team, Yuki Tsunoda could say goodbye to Formula 1. He would occupy the place of third driver at Red Bull and would be at the simulator in Milton Keynes to help Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, as did his predecessor Alex Albon. Daniel Ricciardo and Liam Lawson are said to be the two contenders to race with AlphaTauri. For the moment, nothing has yet been made official from the Austrian team, but this track seems to be favored. For his debut in F1, the New Zealand driver impressed everyone within Red Bull. Following Ricciardo’s injury, Lawson finished ahead of his teammate twice and has quite good race pace. Given the Australian’s recovery, Liam Lawson will undoubtedly take the wheel in Singapore. A new opportunity to show what he is capable of.
Ricciardo’s plan
Freshly back in business during the summer, Daniel Ricciardo did not return to put on pearls. The Australian has a specific goal in mind, to win. At the end of the 2022 season, the Honey Badger was kindly thanked by Zack Brown’s team, but this did not discourage the eight-time Grand Prix winner. In July he tested the RB19 at Silverstone. His pace caught the eye of Helmut Marko and Christian Horner, they did not hesitate to put him back in the car and fire Nyck De Vries. Slowly, but surely, Ricciardo is preparing the ground for 2025 and hopes to return to Red Bull and fight for victories. If the Australian driver leaves after getting the Red Bull seat, Tsunoda could return, but only time will tell.
