After 13 years since the Crashgate affair broke out to the general public, Felipe Massa wants at all costs to recover his world champion title lost during the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. A few months ago, the Brazilian driver wanted to regain the matters in hand by resorting to justice. Last Tuesday, he and his lawyers filed a lawsuit against Renault, ING, Flavio Briatore, Ferrari, Pat Symonds and Steven Nielsen. The former Ferrari driver is not ready to give up, he has assured that he is initiating all these procedures in the interest of sport. Earlier this year, former Formula 1 big boss Bernie Ecclestone revealed to the media that the FIA was aware of Renault’s deception. He did not hesitate to tackle Felipe Massa in the Swiss newspaper Blick. According to him, the former athlete is motivated by things other than sport.
Bernie Ecclestone’s statement
