Fuel at cost or capped price: where to find it this weekend?

The weekend is approaching. A period synonymous, in recent times, with gestures on fuels on the part of certain brands. If there are not yet many of them organizing offers for motorists, at least two of them offer operations.

Let us first mention the Casino brands. The managers of the latter have set up a fuel operation at cost price. This is active every weekend, from Friday to Sunday. It is carried out in all of the brand’s hypermarkets with a service station.

Enough to save a few cents per liter when filling up with gasoline or diesel. Please note, this does not concern LPG or E85 ethanol fuel users. Various modalities are also in place. They can be found here, with the list of participating brands.

TotalEnergies also has help for users. Thus, fuel prices are capped at €1.99/L. A decision taken at the start of the year, reaffirmed in August, before it was extended to 2024, a few days ago. This after pressure from the government on distributors.

Will Intermarché soon offer assistance, before other brands?

Note that these two brands will soon be joined by Intermarché. The brand’s managers have announced a cost-price offer which will take effect one weekend per month, in this case the last of the month (with the exception of December). Find the dates on which these operations will be organized below:

• December 15-16

Other distributors, such as E.Leclerc or Système U, have also promised actions. However, they also appeal to distributors/refiners and the State, who can, according to them, play on the margins. This is understandable, when we know that around 50% of the price of a liter is made up of taxes.
