Manufactured from 2007 to 2016, this large station wagon (4.83 m), ancestor of the current and very elegant V60, is distinguished above all by its typical Volvo design. It provides generous roominess, coupled with a large cubic and modular trunk, very easy to load (from 555 to 1,620 liters), which only the Mercedes E-Class station wagon outclasses. Large, particularly restful road, this V70 combines soft comfort (seats and damping) and careful soundproofing. Failing to be dynamic, its behavior (S80 platform) is very reassuring and only the large size and the large turning radius are penalizing in town. Engine side, we have the choice between two E85 units, the atmospheric 2.0-liter 145 hp and the melodious 5-cylinder 200 hp and 300 Nm, more comfortable to pull its 1,600 kg empty; both offer a choice of 6-speed, manual and automatic gearboxes.
