Zenpark, a company specializing in parking rental, regularly publishes and updates rankings on the price of parking in cities in France. At the start of the school year, this is a great opportunity to create a new top 10, updated on this subject.

Finally, regardless of the updates, nothing changes in the most expensive city to park in: Paris! In this ranking based on the hourly on-street parking rate and post-parking fees (FPS, fines), the Capital leads by a wide margin.

It costs on average five euros per hour to park there (six euros for districts 1 to 11 in zone 1, and four euros for the rest, from the 12th to the 20th, in zone 2). Parking there is a maximum of six hours, with FPS of 50 to 75 euros.

The second step in this ranking is not changing either, with Grenoble at 2.5 euros per hour on average. The FPS are 35 euros. It is also possible to park for a maximum of 8h30 in the green zone, 3h30 in the orange and purple zones.

Rennes raises prices and on the podium

As for 3rd place, a notable change concerns the appearance of Rennes. The price has in fact increased on average to €2.50/h (€2 in green zone, €3 in red). Bordeaux therefore finds itself 4th, at €2.15/h. Followed by Strasbourg (€2/h), Nantes at €1.90/h, Lille at €1.70/h, Lyon at €1.60/h. Montpellier at €1.60/h and Marseille at €1.50/h close this top 10.

Note that inflation has visibly passed through Strasbourg, which inflates prices by 60 cents. But also, to a lesser extent, by Montpellier and Marseille, with an increase of 10 cents and 30 cents respectively. Here is the top 10:

To sum up

The rankings follow one another but change little. Paris remains the city in France where parking is the most expensive. Prices are also inflating in many of the 10 most expensive cities in France on this subject, according to a study.
