The next stage of artificial intelligence (AI) will be that of interactive AI and it will mark a profound revolution. This is what Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Google DeepMind, explained during an interview with the MIT Technology Review published last Friday. For him, generative AI is only a phase that will lead to robots capable of carrying out tasks that have been defined for them. He considers that today, from this point of view, AIs are “static”. An interactive AI could be more dynamic and imagine actions on its own if given permission. Earlier this month, he imagined that within five years, everyone could have a super-intelligent personal assistant capable of helping you optimize your days. Mustafa Suleyman knows what he is talking about. Today he is the boss of Inflection AI. This start-up launched its Pi chatbot last May to compete with ChatGPT. The AI focuses on personal advice and conversations.

He is not the only one to have seen this interactive AI coming. OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, has launched a computer code interpretation feature.
