Kia is adding a new entry-level finish to the EV9 offering, its large 7-seater electric SUV. The base price drops to €73,000.
At the beginning of summer, Kia opened the order books for the EV9, its imposing electric SUV, with 7 seats as standard. There were Earth finishes, two-wheel drive only, and GT Line, four-wheel drive only.
At the end of summer, the Korean manufacturer is adding an entry-level finish, simply named EV9. The French subsidiary indicates that it is to respond to a request. And therefore have lower prices, since the Earth and GT Line models cost €78,000 and €86,000 respectively!
Interest in the access variant, it offers both technical configurations. There is therefore propulsion with a 150 kW motor, or 204 hp, and all-wheel drive, with two 141 kW motors, for a maximum cumulative output of 283 kW, 385 hp. The battery capacity is the same: 99.8 kWh.

The drop in price therefore comes from lighter equipment, but which remains very generous. We thus have as standard 19-inch rims, LED headlights, driving assistance in traffic jams, blind spot monitoring, front/rear parking sensors, three-zone auto air conditioning, front seats and bench seat. ventilated and heated central unit, heated steering wheel, electric tailgate, hands-free access, navigation on 12.3-inch touch screen, digital instrumentation… The heat pump and 11 kW on-board charger are also standard.
In fact, compared to the Earth, the model loses 360° vision, the head-up display, the Méridian 14 HP audio system, the digital interior rearview mirror or two-way charging. These fewer elements allow you to save €5,000, since the EV9 propulsion model is billed at €73,000. In the four-wheel drive version, it costs €80,000.
