The statement of Francesco Bagnaia
“As soon as the weekend started, I had a lot of blocking at the front and not the others. I had a lot of chattering and shaking in the back. My qualifying lap was an example of what happened to our bike today and yesterday. We managed to find a better solution for today, we were fighting with Jorge who was too fast yesterday, and we managed to perform well but I didn’t feel good. As I said, when you are too close to the limit, you can have a fall like that and that must not happen. It was my fault, I already apologized to the team because today it would have been better to understand it and take third place. It happened when I was second. Currently, I am not happy with my feelings on the bike.”, he confided to our colleagues at motorsport.com
While the Italian driver was almost unstoppable, Francesco Bagnaia crashed during the race at the Indian Grand Prix. The reigning world champion lost big points on his opponents. He is disappointed not to have secured a podium.
