Opel has finally revealed the prices of its Astra Electric on the French market. It starts at €40,990.
While they have been known in most European markets for several months, the prices of the Astra Electric have been a long time coming in France. Customers interested in this new 100% electric version can now place an order.
This Astra is the technical cousin of the Peugeot e-308, which has just arrived in dealerships. We thus find a 115 kW unit, or 156 hp, and a 54 kWh battery. Opel announces a WLTP mixed cycle range of up to 419 km. That’s a bit tight for this category, especially since the brand now offers an electric Corsa with 400 km of autonomy! The Astra is also penalized by a maximum direct current charging power capped at 100 kW.
But for those who don’t often make long journeys, the model has an advantage: being less expensive than the 308, which is not cheap! The lioness starts at €43,900, with the same range as the Opel, while a Renault Megane with the 60 kWh battery, which gives a range of 450 km, starts at €42,000. The Volkswagen ID.3 has a starting price of €42,990, for 204 hp and 427 km.
The Opel is better placed, since its entry ticket is €40,990, without taking the bonus into account. The equipment is generous, with as standard: automatic high beams, front/rear parking assistance, LED fog lights, automatic air conditioning, 10-inch touch screen, 18-inch rims… The GS version costs €42,990 with the addition of 360° vision °, the heated steering wheel or even the two-tone silhouette.
Better yet, on the site to order online, you can find advantageous discounted prices. The basic version is thus displayed at €39,490, which is already a reduction of €1,500. The GS costs €41,490.
