Zapping Auto Moto Ford Bronco 2023 test: bench for the Bronco
This is an interesting step that the government has just taken regarding dematerialization linked to the automobile. Thus, it is now possible to take the steps to sell a car and apply for registration via a smartphone application.
This Wednesday, October 18, the Simplimmat application was in fact generalized throughout the territory. An app that allows you to carry out administrative procedures concerning the registration and transfer of a vehicle.
The latter was developed by the National Agency for Secure Titles (ANTS). This same entity whose website can also be used to complete the administrative formalities related to the purchase of a vehicle. The application has been tested for more than two years, since May 2021, in Île-de-France, Normandy, Brittany and Center-Val-de-Loire.
Sell a vehicle in just a few clicks
Its use is now generalized throughout the territory. To benefit from it, the seller and the buyer must be in the same place. They must then identify themselves via France Connect and complete what is requested by the application.
It is then a matter of transmitting the photos of the identity documents and the registration document in force. The procedure thus allows a “immediate transfer of responsibility for the vehicle”. Once this has been validated by the two people concerned, the buyer can request their new registration document.
The end of the journey is also carried out completely electronically. And the new card can be received within three to four days. In the meantime, the provisional registration certificate is available on the telephone.
This is part of the government’s dematerialization efforts. Thus, the driving license will normally be dematerialized during the year 2024, just like the green sticker, on April 1.
