Tesla can now predict how many Supercharger stations will be free when you arrive. The planner will take into account the number of trips indicating the same station as you.
Currently, Tesla tells you the number of terminals available at each charging station. This is how all load schedulers work for now. But Elon Musk’s company now has more accurate features to tell you the status of the stations.
Thus, Tesla will launch something new with its latest update, to help travelers. From now on, when you choose a terminal on your planner, you will benefit from an indication of its availability upon arrival.
“Tesla will now predict how many Superchargers will be available when you arrive”, details the brand. The ad explains that the planner “will display the wait time, if any”.
To do this, the planner will have access to all the vehicles that have indicated the same station as you. Based on their number, location and arrival time, the planner will be able to tell you availability at the time of your arrival.
Tesla has always advised its motorists to enter the destination in the planner to precondition the battery for charging. However, the growing number of non-Tesla cars will not be taken into account.
