Launched last December 25, this completely revolutionary new bus is changing the daily life of the inhabitants of Kaiyo, a small Japanese town.
So of course, its aesthetic leaves something to be desired, but the important thing is not really there. Indeed, what matters is the change of function that this vehicle can operate. Going from a bus to a wagon on rails, it may seem completely crazy, and yet …
So here are the first images of the beast in action and you will see, it is really impressive.
Very reasonable features
the DMV can therefore accommodate up to 21 passengers at a time and despite its flash transformation system, its top speed is absolutely correct. On the road, in the form of a bus, it can reach 100 km / h.
On the rails it’s not exactly the same story since its speed is limited to 60 km / h but everything has to start. The only real fault with the vehicle is that it cannot access roads that are too steep. Indeed, its front part is too prominent and prevents normal movement with such an inclination.
As for the objective of its creators, ASA Coast Railway, it is to connect the small villages of the south coast of Japan. Thus, tourism will be able to continue thanks to more frequent transport.
