Zapping Auto Moto Renault Rafale: first contact with the large SUV cut from the Losange
This is a proposal which will undoubtedly delight activists opposed to the construction of the A 69 motorway linking Toulouse to Castres. The construction of a cycle path, along this highly criticized axis, is under study.
This idea was proposed at the end of the third development committee (Codev) of the A 69 motorway last Wednesday. The latter would connect Castres to Teulat. It was jointly proposed by the workshops devoted to mobility and the living environment during the meeting.

A vote this Friday

“The ambition is to ensure the development of soft mobility. That we can arrive at a carpooling area (…) near the motorway, by bike, be able to use the region’s bus network, in particular hydrogen, or carpooling.
It’s necessary “ensure that this infrastructure brings greater attractiveness but also quality of life for our fellow citizens”, he concludes. It remains to be seen how this project will evolve. The anti-A 69 had already proposed a road bike project. But it was an alternative to this highway, not a complementary project…

To sum up
A cycle path could be created along the A 69 motorway. This axis would link Castres to Teulat (Tarn) and would place emphasis on soft mobility. The project has yet to be voted on but is supported by local authorities.
