The Renault group is present at the Solutrans show, an event dedicated to professional mobility (small utility vehicles, industrial vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, etc.) which opens its doors from November 21 to 25, 2023 in Lyon. Among the vehicles presented, the new generation of the large Master utility vehicle, but also that of the Bento electric micro-utility utility vehicle, under the Mobilize brand.
The Mobilize Bento is based on the Duo, an urban quadricycle which replaces the Renault Twizy produced between 2011 and 2023. This is a version reserved for professionals, in particular delivery and service companies (repairs, maintenance, services to the person, deliveries on demand, etc.) in cities and their outskirts. The Bento therefore takes up the concept of the Duo, however with a closed box at the rear instead of the second seat, which allows up to 1 m³ (80 kg payload) to be carried on board depending on several interior layouts. Mobilize specifies that the bodywork can be personalized, in the colors of a company for example.
Up to 140 km of autonomy
The Bento is designed with 50% recycled materials. The side doors have hinged openings and are almost entirely glazed. The electric quadricycle is equipped with a digital key access and start system, accessible from a smartphone for example. This makes management easier for business fleets. The Bento is equipped with an airbag, unlike the Citroën Ami Cargo, and an air conditioning system.
The range is estimated at 140 km, and the maximum speed is set at 80 km/h (with license, therefore). For recharging, Mobilize specifies that the cable is attached to the vehicle, with a standard connection (to be plugged into a domestic socket) or Type 2 (compatible with public terminals on roads, in businesses or car parks).
The Mobilize Bento, like the Duo, will be available during the first half of 2024. For the moment, we do not yet know the price of the two quadricycles.
