Electric cars: nothing is going well at Volkswagen
Derived from the MEB, it will come out of the VCTC (Volkswagen China Technology Company) design office in Hefei. The project will involve various industrial partners: JAC Motors, FAW, SAIC. Local development is not only about image, but also about reducing costs and deadlines. Volkswagen indicates that the design of the models will be done in just 36 months, or 30% less than the group’s usual. The first vehicles that will operate this base are expected in 2026.
