Renault is launching a unique limited series for its Captur, called Rive Gauche. It pays homage to certain districts of Paris, and is adorned in black.
Would Renault be inspired by DS? The manufacturer at Losange has just announced the arrival of a new limited series for its Captur urban SUV, with a name very close to the finishes of DS: Rive Gauche. This surname has however already been used in the past on a Renault. Indeed, the Twingo 2 had a limited series of the same name in 2010.
Black is black …
According to Renault, this finish affixed to the Captur 2 “Evokes the left bank of the Seine in Paris, a place full of history, famous monuments, a very jazz musical culture and the famous boulevard St Germain, a state of mind that creates the trend” according to Renault. An entire program !
The Captur Rive Gauche is based on the classic Intens finish, adopting a very fashionable glossy black treatment (roof, logos, rims, etc.). The 18-inch rims, the front and rear protective skis and the radiator grille are therefore changed to “glossy” black instead of chrome. What contrasts with the eight body colors available, ranging from Atacama Orange to Iron Blue, including Pearl White or Highland Gray. In contrast, no Eiffel Tower sticker on the door jambs like the Rive Gauche special series of the Twingo 2.
From € 26,400
Regarding the equipment, the Captur Rive Gauche is adorned in particular with the City Pack (option on the Captur Intens), front and rear parking assistance or the reversing camera. We also note the presence of a black headliner and black upholstery to be consistent with the exterior.
The special Rive Gauche series of the Captur starts at € 26,400 with the 90 hp TCe petrol engine or the 100 hp TCe in dual-fuel petrol / LPG. This temporary finish is also available with the TCe 140 and 160 hp units, as well as the 145 hp single hybrid. It climbs to € 36,450 for the plug-in plug-in E-Tech 160 hp hybrid variant. That is to say a price difference of € 1,100 compared to the corresponding Intens version. The Captur Rive Gauche is already available to order, and the first copies will be delivered from March 2022. A total of 450 copies should be marketed.
