New Jeep Renegade (2022) – The Brazilian market has the honor of launching the second restyling of the urban 4 × 4, before it probably joins the Old Continent, in the coming months. Here are the first pictures revealing the modifications which have been allocated to it.
Eight years after its launch, and four years after its restyling, it could have given way to a whole new generation, but ultimately prefers to make the fun last. Sure of himself, because seeing his sales crumble moderately, despite his great age, he should postpone the deadline until 2024, see 2025. For now, the Jeep Renegade vintage 2022 is mainly satisfied withaesthetic developments, however deeper than it seems, being here a Trailhawk finish. The unit regrouping the optics and the grille is thinner to bite the 7 ventilation bars in a redesigned shield. Its lower part, made of raw plastic, goes up more to enjoya more prominent hoof highlighting scarlet red (dummy) towing notches. In profile, the adventurer of the cities modernizes the look of its rims and mirrors, via two-tone shades, when the stern is also seen rewarded with new rocker panels. The whole is enhanced by new more rectangular lights, within a raw plastic fairing.
Diesel farewell
For the Brazilian market, the new Jeep Renegade is equipped with a 1.3 turbo block of original Stellantis which will match the original 9-speed automatic transmission, in two and four-wheel drive. Conversely, the diesel engine, which represented less than 10% of sales, disappears from the catalog. On the safety side, it adopts six airbags, lane change warning, emergency braking and collision warning, among other expected equipment that has not yet been revealed.
Soon in Europe?
We can bet that the European range, when it has been officially unveiled, will be distinguished by specific characteristics. But most of the design presented on the other side of the Atlantic will be taken up. It remains to be seen whether the interior will have benefited from improvements. It is highly probable, if only on the multimedia level. It is also certain that the price list will experience a slight increase, compared to the 26,300 € currently claimed at the entry level.
