Future Dacia Duster (2024) – The third generation of the Romanian SUV will definitely enter the modern era by benefiting, by 2024, from the modern platform of the current Renault Captur, when the current Duster still carries an extrapolation of the archaic underbody of the Clio 2 of 1998.
Hybridization in sight
The adoption of the CMF-B technical base, which recently enjoyed the Sandero and Jogger, will be synonymous withhybridization (non-rechargeable) for the new Duster, based ona 1.8 E-Tech from the current 1.6 inaugurated by the Clio hybrid. But the unknown remains as to the technical solution that will allow it to benefit from all-wheel drive. It is hard to imagine Dacia engineers relying on rechargeable hybridization using an electric motor to move the rear axle. We can bet that less expensive technology will be retained to stick to the cheap image of Duster 4 × 4, popular in remote areas.
A big brother 7 places
Style side, it will resume most of the lines announced by the Bigster concept car, last year, which will materialize in series on the eponymous model, running in 2025. Longer by a few decimeters, it will be positioned as the 7-seater version of the Duster, and should logically be offered with 4-wheel drive, too. In terms of prices, the future Dacia Duster will logically increase them, with entry level probably exceeding € 15,000.
