According to’article L2213-4 of the Code of Territorial Collectivities, “ the mayor can, by reasoned decree, prohibit the access of certain roads or of certain portions of roads or of certain sectors of the municipality to the vehicles whose circulation on these ways or in these sectors is likely to compromise either the public peace, either the quality of the air, or the protection of animal or plant species, or the protection of natural spaces, landscapes or sites or their enhancement for aesthetic, ecological, agricultural, forestry or tourist purposes “. This restriction can then be permanent or depend on the schedule.
