The ball of new brands in China never stops. Here is the automotive division of the airline JuneYao Air, aptly named JuneYao Auto.
Between serious start-ups, others who are much less serious, real vaporware, large manufacturers who simply want a slightly different positioning for certain products, small obscure manufacturers who want to attract the spotlight, technology groups who see a real expansion of its activity, multi-activity groups who want to heal their boss’s ego, the creation of automobile brands is a sort of national sport in China and could almost be the subject of a weekly column.
In the last category, we particularly witnessed the creation of the Evergrande automobile brand a few years ago, whose adventure was cut short with the bankruptcy of the real estate giant and the detention of its boss for treason…
So here is a new brand, JuneYao Auto. A label that stands out in particular for the services it intends to offer. Taking advantage of its relationship with an airline, the manufacturer intends to offer its customers services around this universe: pick-up and return of the vehicle coordinated with your flight at the airport, car rental at destination, combination with the service of loyalty (miles) of the company, etc…
For the rest, the vehicle presented in a few photos is a sedan with a unibody look with its large windshield as an extension of the small hood, a tailgate decorated with lights integrated into the aerodynamic deflector. For the moment, no further details on the equipment or technical specifications have been communicated. We are simply promised a high level of comfort (hopefully better than economy class…).
We can expect a world premiere presentation at the Beijing show in April.
