Zapping Auto Moto Test: behind the wheel of the restyled Peugeot 2008!
The situation regarding public works companies (BTP) blocking access to the Lorient oil depot has not changed a bit. The action continues and should last a few more hours at least. The blockade is expected to continue until Tuesday January 30, 2024.
The demonstrators opposed the prefecture’s request to allow some tanks to pass. Norbert Guillou, boss of the TPLS company (Caudan) and leader of this movement, took the opportunity to give new details on his expectations and what will motivate him to unblock traffic. Everything is based on the level of taxation of non-road diesel (GNR), according to what it explains in the columns of the Telegram :
“We don’t want compensation. What we want is to stay as in 2023, at 2023 priceshe explains simply. We want to be treated like farmers”who have indeed obtained positive signs from Prime Minister Gabriel Attal regarding the taxation of GNR.
The number of dry stations on the rise
This comes as the number of dry stations in the region was already on the rise this weekend. This weekend, several stations in Loudéac (Côtes-d’Armor) were dry. This was particularly the case with the city’s Super U and Leclerc.
Stations in the Pays de Landerneau also suffered from traffic. On Sunday, there was no more gasoline and diesel at Leclerc in Saint-Thoman. The diesel guns were also empty at the Intermarché in Landerneau.
The large stores concerned hoped that these concerns would improve this Monday. However, it appears that the situation will not return to normal immediately. Remember that around fifty blockades and demonstrations are planned throughout France today.

To sum up
Construction industry players do not intend to abandon the oil depot that they have been blocking for several days. This raises fears of further shortages at service stations. The demonstrators are demanding a reduction in the prices of non-road diesel.
