Zapping Auto Moto Alpine A110 MP-RC test: a real racing car at a good price?
Android Auto, do you use it every day? A bug could prevent you from taking full advantage of it. Many users have reported problems with the voice commands of this system. These would have stopped working.
This has been noticed throughout the Google support forums and Reddit. According to them, when users try to use this system, Google recognizes the requests… But Waze blocks it, for its part.
The application simply does not start. Impossible to navigate, get route information or anything else. Enough to make the lives of motorists using the application in their daily trips more difficult.
Waze not a fan of voice commands?
Problems like this seem to arise regularly. In addition, Waze managers have already been able to reduce the size with this voice command system on their application.
The latter thus deliberately removed most of the voice commands from Android Auto in May 2023. Only the commands allowing you to go to “Home” or to “Work” remained. A radical measure, taken to improve the efficiency of the application.
Shortly after, faced with the reaction generated by this decision, Waze finally decided to backtrack. It remains to be seen whether the application managers will be able to quickly correct the bug currently occurring.

To sum up
Waze is obviously the victim of a bug on Android Auto. Voice commands can sometimes have trouble working, with the app not triggering. Bad news for drivers using this system.
