Access to motorcycle license financing through the personal training account (CPF) has been an undeniable success. Just a few days after its implementation, the figures are already unequivocal: success is there.
Thus, 7,000 files have already been validated, for seven million euros, according to figures reported by The echoes. A success which even shakes up that of the car, which was surpassed during the third week of January.
The success of this measure was dazzling. This is evidenced by the number of A2 files accepted during the first days of implementation of the measure. There were 408 on January 13, 79 on Sunday the 14th, before climbing beyond 1,000 the following days.
This concerned 1,151 files on January 15, 1,435 on the 16th, 1,166 on the 17th and 1,179 on January 18. For this last day, this was even as much as the number of applications for the B permit. This contrasts with the A1 permit applications, which remain much more confidential.
An immense majority of permits obtained by the CPF?
These figures suggest that the number of permits financed via the CPF could therefore be the majority. Comparing between January 2022 and January 2024 (the results for 2023 are not yet known), almost 80% of motorcycle licenses could be financed via the CPF.
Could this give the government ideas for establishing barriers? Indeed, at present, motorcyclists using the CPF to finance their license only have to certify on their honor that their license will help them to enter or maintain employment.
The fact remains that if having a car license helps to get a job, the key to motorcycles is less important for finding a job. Could the State react by introducing an additional charge for those who want to finance their motorcycle license via the CPF?
