Are bikers and farmers leading the same fight against rules they consider unfair? Although similarities exist, these two struggles should not be brought together on all levels. The French Federation of Angry Bikers (FFMC) specifies this on its website.
Thus, the latter was requested on numerous occasions to “join the farmers’ movement”. Ceci “in the name of the convergence of struggles”. However, bikers do not want “trying to “recover”” this movement of discontent which carries its own demands. An attitude “opportunistic and demagogic” according to them.
Rather, it’s simply about helping farmers, they say. This in the face of “the European bureaucracy” and to “constraints of a “punitive” ecology”. “In this, the FFMC supports the farmers’ movement”. Its members detail:
“We do indeed sympathize with the farmers’ cause.” “The FFMC is in solidarity with their movement, and invites bikers to, for example, bring coffee to the farmers who are manning the roadblocks, go to the refueling for them, share a moment with them, and discuss our common problems of refusing constraints unnecessary bureaucratic procedures, whether European or French.”
And the members of the federation conclude: “at the FFMC, we believe in action, not in fine declarations!” This results in particular in the setting up of demonstrations. Latest example on January 27, with nearly 350 bikers gathered against the technical inspection in Charleville-Mézières (Ardennes).

To sum up
The members of the French Federation of Angry Bikers (FFMC) are not keen on using the farmers’ protest movement to use it. On the other hand, they support the latter and invite their members to help the demonstrators.
