James Bond will switch to electric cars. And to save the world, it will use technologies provided by Lucid Motors.
Like the fleet of cars, the cinema is slowly becoming electrified. Heroes and anti-heroes are placing more and more trust in clean and silent mobility (with the help of sound design anyway) on screen. And MI6 will be no exception, with a fleet of electric cars.
Lucid Air Sapphire: the world’s most powerful sedan takes the stage
And these would undoubtedly be electric Aston Martins, as implied by Peter Rawlinson, CEO of Lucid Motors. During a ceremony organized at the AMP-1 factory in Arizona, the former chief engineer of the Tesla Model S indicated that James Bond will benefit from Lucid’s electrical technologies.
Electric Aston Martins with a Lucid Sapphire heart
News that is not really news, Aston Martin and Lucid Motors having already announced their agreement around a technical partnership. More precisely, Lucid will offer the English brand its recent traction chain inherited from the Sapphire range, as specified by Peter Rawlinson in Arizona.
This is currently the most powerful solution in Lucid’s range. On board the Air sedan of the same name, the tandem made up of three electric machines can deliver up to 1,216 hp. Power that meets the specifications of Aston Martin’s next sports cars, the level of technology of which will be enough to make Q blush!
