Chinese brands have decided to invest in the European market, but they must reassure customers. On this subject, Zeekr has chosen to do better than everyone else.
We remember that Kia bet its breakthrough on the European market by offering a seven-year warranty during the launch of the first generation of Cee’d in 2006. The legal warranty was then only one year, and Toyota was already a leader. anomaly with his three years. Since then, extended warranties have multiplied, as standard or as an option, and it is no longer rare to find models guaranteed for more than three years.
This is particularly the case for Chinese manufacturers who seek to reassure their customers. BYD therefore offers a 6-year warranty, MG a seven-year warranty. But now the Geely group intends to get everyone to agree. Its Zeekr brand thus displays a 5-year warranty, but until April 30, it offers an unprecedented extension to 10 years, which is accompanied by 10 years of access to connected services, and above all 10 years of maintenance.
Unheard of in Europe, but this remains lower than what the brand offers to its Chinese customers. The Zeekr 001 was therefore launched with a… lifetime warranty. Except for one detail, it is non-transferable upon sale of the vehicle.
The Zeekr 001 and X are currently sold in Sweden, the Netherlands and Germany. France must follow.
