Zapping Sports Auto Moto F1 Season Calendar 2024
Two planets aligned on Wednesday, February 7, within the Alpine F1 galaxy. The Enstone team lifted the veil on its car for the 2024 season, called A524, while at the same time, one of its drivers celebrated his birthday.
“I would say I am in a much better position than I was twelve months ago”
This is Pierre Gasly, born February 7, 1996, who was celebrating his 28th birthday. Before knowing if l’A524 will be a real gift on the track, during the winter tests organized from February 21 to 23 in Bahrain, the Rouennais shared his expectations at the start of his second season with Alpine.
His first year in blue was generally successful, with an increase in momentum materialized during the summer by a 3rd place in a sprint race in Belgium, then by conquering the 3rd step of the podium at the Dutch Grand Prix. In the end, Pierre Gasly achieved the status of highest ranked Alpine driver in the championshipahead of his teammate and compatriot Esteban Ocon by 4 points.
“I would say I’m in a much better position than I was twelve months ago. I know exactly everyone I work with, all the processes, and I know how to fully rely on those around me and myself. It’s nice to have continuity and build on the foundations of last year. I feel confident with the team around me. We have all evolved and progressed over the past year. Now I am convinced that I can attack the season immediately and maximize the full potential of the team.” (Alpine official website)
