This animated biopic, by Jim Capobianco and Pierre-Luc Granjon, tells the life and works of the famous creator Leonardo da Vinci. Behind the funny and poetic theatrical staging of the puppets lies an original participatory innovation project. In fact, five of the works presented in the film were created by the finalists of the challenge Open Codex.
The Open Codex challenge succeeded
Launched in 2021 by Dassault Systèmes through its platform 3DEXPERIENCE Labthe project allowed hundreds of participants to model in 3D the machines designed by Leonardo da Vinci in the 16the century. A successful challenge for the technological company which, associated with the French animation studio Foliascope, allows the viewer to (re)discover the fascinating inventions of Leonardo da Vinci through the feats of collective intelligence.
