A welcome classicism
In profile, the fenders are even more bodybuilt to make the look more aggressive and make it easier to fit wide wheels and tires. Luckily, the photographer was able to obtain a very precise shot of the design of the rims, within which lurk Drilled brake discs, pinched by calipers covered with Motorsport blue dye. Finally, the bow is distinguished by a shield with rectangular air inlets, very radical style. But, very fortunately, the new M2 does not seem to have succumbed to the fashion of the vertical double-bean grille which is controversial on the M3 and M4.
Faithful six-cylinder
Under the hood, we salute the courage of BMW, which wanted to keep a 6-cylinder in-line, at the moment the competition resorts more and more to 4-cylinders to treat CO2 emissions. Bavarian wizards would renew the engine with the code name S58 (3.0 L biturbo), according to our information, but in a configuration likely to peak at 460 hp, and associate it both manual and automatic transmission. Conversely, the German “dragster” could be satisfied withsimple rear-wheel drive, depending on the noise of the corridors, but this information needs to be verified.
BMW M2 price
Marketed during the year 2022, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Motorsport division, the new BMW M2 should claim at least € 75,000.
