Today, the Dacia Duster is one of the best-selling models in France and Europe. But of all the owners, who really uses their SUV for off-roading in muddy trails. To tell the truth, very little. And that, the low-cost firm is well aware, while a study of 1,000 people points out that four out of ten have never done off-road with their vehicle. Enough to make the brand want to try by all means to encourage its customers to exploit the capacities of its 4X4, which is nevertheless very comfortable in off-road driving. The Renault group brand has therefore decided to launch an astonishing communication operation in the United Kingdom, called ” Adventure Ready » Mud Wash.
An amazing wash
The principle ? Some special washing agents are responsible for coating your Dacia of earth and mud. Armed with buckets and sponges, they then spread it, in order to dirty the entire bodywork. The goal is then simple. Lift the psychological brake of customers, who are afraid of dirtying their car. Indeed, according to a study by the manufacturer, 22% of them wash their car at least once a week. As Luke Broad, director of Dacia in the United Kingdom, points out: for those who feel that their 4×4 is more at home on the road to school than on a dirt track, the Mud Wash aims to encourage them to trade the TV for rubber boots and think outside the box this year! »
The firm goes further by even offering a “mucket list”, a parody of the famous bucket list, this time filled with activities in the great outdoors, such as wild camping or surfing lessons. Something to make customers want to get a little dirty!
