2022 marks the mid-life arrival of the large Bavarian SUV. Our scoop hunters have just immortalized the prototype of the future BMW X5 M.
New BMW X5 M (2022) – That’s right redesign of the entire BMW X5 range which is expected in the course of 2022, after 4 years of career passed for the fourth generation of the Bavarian SUV. But for the moment, only this M version under camouflage fell into the web of our scoop hunters. Clichés rich in information about the stylistic transformation that the machine will operate.
More incisive style
If the camouflage hides a certain number of details, the BMW X5 cuvée 2022 will adopt much thinner headlights and of new front bumpers, depending on the finishes. That of the X5 M, immortalized here, reveals vertical air inlets as well as a new contour matching that of a new grille, more trapezoidal in appearance. Conversely, the changes are more modest at the stern, since only the lights seem to have benefited from an update, via a three-dimensional design offering a recessed central section. BMW will make a number of changes to the interior of the facelifted X5 and X5 M. The most obvious change will be the inclusion of a curved digital dashboard taking up the principle inaugurated by the iX SUV.
Arrival of hydrogen
The facelifted BMW X5 M will retain the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 of the outgoing model, perhaps with a little more punch, compared to the 617 hp of the current Competition variant. It’s not yet known if any changes will be made to the powertrains of the consumer versions, but BMW has already confirmed thata hydrogen model will be built in limited numbers for demonstration purposes and test. baptized iX5 Hydrogen, this crossover will be equipped with two hydrogen tanks reinforced with carbon fibers and a electric motor developing 369 hp. At the same time, the rechargeable hybrid version should increase the capacity of its battery to improve its autonomy.
BMW X5 M price
Presented during the year, before being marketed in stride, the new BMW X5 M should revise its entry ticket upwards to establish itself around €150,000, while the classic range will likely start around €68,000.
