Experience has been right for this first special of the Monte Carlo Rally. On tricky roads, partially frosted and darkened by night, Sebastien Ogier and Sebastien Loeb disgusted the competition by rolling a tone above the others. There is still a slight advantage for the pilot of the Toyota Yaris, with 5.4 seconds ahead of his compatriot. Behind the gaps are surprisingly large.
