Volvo is making slight aesthetic changes to its XC40, following the arrival of the C40 “coupé” version. The Swedish SUV is also modifying its range, which starts at €32,050.
A few months after the arrival of the Volvo C40, the “coupé” version of the XC40, the latter received a few aesthetic modifications to bring the two models into line. The XC40 takes the opportunity to receive a new range and raises its prices, displayed from €32,050 now.

The XC40 therefore has a slightly reworked front end, with revised optics, a new grille or even redesigned shields which change the position of the foglamps and highlight the central air intake. The profile and the rear undergo few changes, apart from new rim offers. However, we note the presence of two “styles”, Chrome or Dark, which allow you to have chrome or black inserts as desired. On board, the XC40 gains some upholstery, in particular that in mixed wool or that combining fabric and black Microtech. On the other hand, the choices are now limited for the inserts, which are linked to each upholstery and can no longer be chosen separately.
The new XC40 range is made up of Essential, Start, Plus and Ultimate trim levels. It thus abandons the historical names of Volvo: Momentum, R-Design, Inscription or Inscription Luxe are scrapped., as on other models in the range. The thermal XC40 starts at €32,050 at entry level (compared to €30,250 on the old price) and climbs to €53,800 with the 197 hp micro-hybrid petrol in the 4×4 version. The plug-in hybrid ranges from €49,500 to €57,450. Finally, the electric XC40 is available with two variants: a 231 hp propulsion displayed from €45,800, and a variant with two motors and all-wheel drive (408 hp) displayed between €55,500 and €60,750.
