This 1st generation of the Peugeot urban crossover still has some fine remains. At the 12th place for occasions, it is accessible from € 7,000.
From 2013 to 2019, from € 7,000
Replaced since 2019 by the current generation, this small urban crossover, which replaced the old 208 station wagon, is among the bestsellers in the segment, just behind the Renault Captur. In addition to its “chic and sport” look, elegantly restyled in June 2016, it offers well thought-out modularity and habitability. Behavior could not be more rigorous, serving driving pleasure, the result of careful ergonomics, sharp running gear and steering, and judiciously calibrated damping. Avoid top-of-the-range finishes for which the “Grip Control” traction optimization system imposes “M + S” tires which extend stopping distances. Or replace them. We will choose the 3-cylinder 1.2 PureTech petrol 110 hp or, better yet, the 130 hp, both available with the pleasant automatic gearbox, or the sober and valiant 1.6 eHDi of 92 hp or 115/120 hp, hardly more expensive.
RELIABILITY 3/5
Reliability marred by youthful flaws and numerous recalls.
- Engine PT 1.2 : noisy accessory belt (pulley screw).
- HDi : noisy distribution (crankshaft pinion); improperly tightened high pressure rail fuel lines (recall in April 2014); EGR valve ; stop & start (calculator).
- Train before : various problems (tightening necessary, cradle sometimes to be replaced or screws to be changed – recall in summer 2014).
- Hand brake : lack of efficiency (recall of almost all models manufactured in winter 2014-2015).
