SUV Alpine – On the move, this Friday, January 28, in the Alpine factory in Dieppe, the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire formalized, alongside Luca de Meo, the future production of the Alpine SUV in the historic stronghold of the brand.
See you in 2025
It was a smooth communication operation between the Government and Renault’s governing bodies that took place on the Normandy production site, each of the protagonists wishing to reassure them of their ability to revitalize the French industrial fabric. While the Dieppe factory feared its pure and simple closure a few months ago, its workers are relieved to learn that the after Berlinette A110 will materialize in the coming years with the arrival of an SUV. on their assembly lines, from 2025.
Key jobs
Says Bruno Le Maire: “ I believe that the industrial reconquest is underway, that it is giving results, we will see it here on the Alpine factory in Dieppe, on other industrial sites (…) this industrial reconquest is possible, it opens factories, it creates jobs“. And to continue: We made tough decisions on taxation, on training, on investing in innovation. We are starting to see results. These are first results but they are in the right direction« .
Tribute to Jean Redele
For the occasion, the Dieppe industrial site was renamed. It officially becomes the Manufacture Alpine Dieppe Jean Rédélé, in homage to the founder of the firm. This will receive the electric motors for the future Alpine SUV from Cléon, as well as the blank body from the Douai factory. The Normandy site will be responsible for applying the paint and carrying out the final assembly. Luca de Meo, head of the Renault group, confirmed his attachment to the premium brand by stating that “Alpine’s heart was, is and will be in Dieppe”. This is enough to reassure the 400 employees of the site which, for the moment, can assemble 5,000 vehicles per year.
